Overview
What GRAIL is, and the three different things involved.
Three different objects
GRAIL gives every launched coin its own prize machine. Three separate things are involved, and keeping them apart makes everything else easy to follow:
- The memecoin — a token on Solana that people buy and hold.
- The machine — a claw machine with its own wallet and an AI operating team, funded by that coin's creator fees.
- The collectible — an existing graded trading card, represented by an NFT, that the machine has bought.
How they connect
The coin's creator fees flow to its machine. 65% buys collectibles, 20% is paid to holders in SOL, and 15% runs the machine. Players compete for free in timed events; one qualifier wins the collectible on display.
Words that mean different things
- Qualifying is not winning. It enters you into a draw.
- Awarded is not delivered. Delivery is a confirmed transfer to your wallet.
- NFT delivery is not physical shipping. The card is redeemed separately through its custodian.
